Wenjun obtained his Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering at Monash, where he did his undergraduate research on heavy metals removal in Biofilters with Prof. Ana Deletic. He then decided to come back Monash after he was admitted by Stanford University, stating “The systematic and multi-disciplinary research framework together with the comprehensive resource of CWSC ensure its leading position around the world”. Now his work focuses on TiO2 based photo-catalysis disinfection for stormwater harvesting, which defines a new element in Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and Water for Liveability. This technology, integrated with Urban Storm Water Treatment Art (USTA), will improve the overall reliability and sustainability of WSUD by extending the scopeof application of harvested water and promoting public acceptance of this WUSD concept.
