Tim is an experienced landscape architect and urban designer who has worked in both disciplines for a leading practice in the United Kingdom, and a large and highly innovative architectural group in Australia. He is currently an Associate Director of AECOM’s Design + Planning Practice.
Tim has specialist experience in infrastructure, education, ecological and water related projects within Australia and overseas. Through this experience, he has developed significant skills in strategic planning and practical implementation of public infrastructure projects. Tim is active in integrating best practice environmental sustainability and water sensitive urban design into projects, and engages in research to better inform future projects. He has presented his continuing research into landscape and urban design issues at industry conferences such as Green Cities ’09 and was a finalist in the 2010 Design Challenge run by RMIT’s Design Research Institute as part of the State of Design Festival.
Tim is co-leading the research Project P8 (Integration and Demonstration Through Urban Design), within the Cities as Water Supply Catchments Program.
