Anke obtained her PhD in 2006 from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Gates Scholar. She is an environmental and natural resource economist and is particularly interested in problems of optimal natural resource development and conservation under conditions of risk, uncertainty and irreversibility. Her research has been applied to inform policy in the areas of optimal land use, biodiversity conservation, climate change, invasive species and water management.
Anke is involved in Project P7 (Economic Valuation), within the Cities as Water Supply Catchments Program.
