Emily graduated from Melbourne University in 2005 with degrees in Environmental Engineering and Science, majoring in Botany. She has since worked as a consultant at Sinclair Knight Merz in the areas of Catchment Planning and Contaminated Land Management. During this time, Emily gained an appreciation of hydrological modelling and analysis, environmental sampling techniques and project management. In late 2009 Emily joined Monash University as a PhD student in order to further her understanding of the interaction between urban water management, sustainable engineering design and natural environmental processes.
