Naomi joined the School of Geography and Environmental Science in February 2010. She graduated from the University of New South Wales with a honours degree in Environmental Engineering and Arts (Environmental Studies) in 2008. While studying Naomi gained experience in integrated water management at a local level working in the Urban Stormwater Integrated Management program at Marrickville Council.
Since graduating Naomi has worked at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney, where she contributed a range of projects including to the National Water Commission Resource Paper ‘Sustainability Assessment in Urban Water Integrated Resource Planning’ and the Urban Sustainability Support Alliance publication ‘Sustainability Tool Selector: A Guide for Local Government’.
Naomi is involved in the Centre for Water Sensitive Cities through her PhD research (Busy Backyarders: The Motivations of Citizens Implementing Alternative Outdoor Water Management Practices), which links into two different areas:
