Michael’s PhD research is addressing questions surrounding the implementation of Sustainable Urban Water Management in the urban centres in the Pacific Island developing countries, with a case study in Port Vila, Vanuatu. This research is a cross-disciplinary project with supervision from both the School of Geography and Environmental Science and the Department of Civil Engineering. His research aims to develop and demonstrate a socio-technical approach for developing urban centres in the Pacific Region to identify strategies to leapfrog to sustainable urban water management.
